Overall Summary:
In order to empower rural women, the series of discussion
meetings (Review and Reflection) is conducted in various villages of Jumla
districts; Dillichaur for Dillichaur and Patrashi, Lamra for Lamra,Hanku and
Talium and Kudari for Kudari and Tatopani. The gender facilitators, Female
Community Health Workers,Men chapions and NGOs leaders; Sarbodaya Nepal, Action
Works Nepal, BEE Group and CAD were presented as their respective work. All
sessions lead by Ms. Radha Paudel, Former, Founder /President of Action Works
Nepal and Founder of Radha Paudel Foundation and co- facilitated by Kamal
Khatri from Sarbodaya, Jumla. The
discussion meeting in Kudari was new group. Rest of the group started to engage
with these activities and trainer since December 2013. It was fifth sessions
with them though in Dillichaur site, the participants were new. In overall, the
men members and faith healers were less who were important group to engage to
for women empowerment, chhaupadi and all forms of GBV free community. However,
these sessions were so productive and result oriented. The participants were
taking their leadership, owned the issues and expand their horizon in terms of
knowledge and skills. They are still in need to follow up, coaching and linkages
with district networks and institutions. The district level activities
cancelled due to illness of principle trainer. The program started from Dillichaur
and ended in Kudari dated on Nov 27, to December 3, 2016 respectively. For

reported that only faith healer's family have resist against campaign of Anti
Chhaupadi.
